The recent winter storm has passed, and property owners throughout Alexandria, Fort Hunt, and nearby neighborhoods are now evaluating trees for delayed or hidden damage caused by snow and ice accumulation.
Even when trees appear intact, storm stress can result in internal fractures, weakened branch unions, or compromised root systems that may not be immediately visible.
Please note: Tree work and assessments are performed once roads are passable and conditions allow safe operation of equipment and crews.
Requests will be prioritized based on safety risk, access, and emergency severity.
When storm damage involves electrical hazards, work will be coordinated with Dominion Energy to ensure utilities are addressed safely before tree work proceeds.
All emergency work is performed or supervised by an ISA-Certified Arborist.
